Open announces continuity for SmartFlex under .NET Platform

Open, leader in BOSS (Business and Operations Support Systems) solutions development and implementations for public utilities and telecommunications companies, announces the release of SmartFlex new Claims module, continuing with its evolution into Microsoft .NET successful graphics environment software platform.

By the end of the year 2007, Open announced the release of SmartFlex Version 6.0 which has a sole customer care point developed under the .NET platform, allowing users to have integrated and detailed information on each customer, including information on billing, charges and account balances, customer complaints and consumption, among other, taking advantage of Microsoft graphics environment under a user friendly, more intuitive, easily accessed environment.

Continuing with SmartFlex product development plan, and taking into consideration the broad acceptance given to this new end user interphase, Open has continued with the release of new modules covering strategic areas related to customer care such as the Clams Module. This new functionality, now completely integrated to the Customer Care Module, will aid in expediting customer claims, by virtue of its navigation possibilities and by the availability of the information in one sole customer care point.

SmartFlex 6.0 is a tool that supports all commercial and technical operations of the telecommunications and public utilities industries and its new .NET components allow customer service enters to have integrated and detailed customer information as mentioned above.

Benito Pardini, Manager of the Open International Systems Software Development Center (CDS) pointed out: “Customer Care is a fundamental area for the operation of all telecommunications and public utilities industries by being the contact center for existing and potential customers. This is the main reason for releasing the new Claims Module under a .NET platform integrated to SmartFlex sole customer care point, allowing expediting the processes related to customer claims and service in the minimum time possible”.

Open has announced that by the end of the present year, all of SmartFlex modules will be released under Microsoft’s .NET platform, proving telecommunications and public utilities industries customers with a specialized information system under a more intuitive graphic environment, based on Microsoft tools, for a faster and easier understanding of its operations.
